It's now Bank Holiday Monday and we've just finished what constitutes a marathon for The New Ambassadors. 3 gigs in 3 days and each one a corker. Starting off on Friday night at the Rising Sun in Slough, then at the Beehive in Bedfont and rounding it off with the Jubilee Street Party in Bedfont. What a turn out! Despite the rain everyone partied hard and had a really great time. A few technical problems aside it turned out to be easily one of the most fun gigs we've done and we want to thank everyone for your hospitality. Looking forward we have a private gig coming up next weekend and then after that a new venue in Basingstoke. Details to follow.
Last night's gig at the Rising Sun in Slough was the first for a couple of weeks due to the individual Ambassador's other commitment. JD was busy turning 24, Chris was busy losing his car keys, Rich was in a meeting similar to when all the Dons meet in The Godfather, Ash was being ill and Geoff was being Geoff. However last night signalled the beginning of a full weekend on the Ambassador's schedule with gig number one at the Rising Sun. After the first couple of numbers when managed to blow off most of the cobwebs that have gathered and blast out some Rock. We played a rockier set, rolling out the Rage Against the Machine and Free numbers. A couple of encores topped off a triumphant return to the gigging arena. Let's hope that tonight at the Beehive will be just as great.
This photo should tell you what kind of night JD's Birthday was. We went to Charley's Horse (Ash was absent due to a sore throat) and had a few cocktails and the aim was the camper the better. Good food and a good time was had by all. Pics will be posted in the gallery soon.
"But enough of your high jinks Squire TNA pray tell when are you next playing?" I hear you cry. Ohh, it's just you crying. Well cheer up because we're back playing very soon. Next gig is at the Fabulous Rising Sun in Slough on Friday 1st June and we're starting at 10 so could be a late one. If you can't make that we're playing the very next day at our home ground. Yes, The Beehive in Bedfont in on the Saturday 2nd from 9. We are also playing for a private street party on Jubilee Sunday. Should be a good gig if the weather holds but all the members of TNA are rather pale so we will be wearing our Factor 50 for some fun in the sun hopefully. |
